Tiarma is an artist in Indonesia who excel at international level. One recent achievement was representing Indonesia in the event of Olympic Fine Arts in Beijing last August. Tiarma also been a guest artist and doing exhibitions in various museums in Fukuoka, UK, Sweden and several other states.

Tiarma who had just received the prestigious award from Olympic Fine Art paintings for an exhibition was so interested in batik clothing targeting young Japanese. Once received an offer from Javarism, the committee is to hold the event, he just agreed.

"Introducing Indonesia at this time would require a more creative way. Batik Harajuku style can be a beginning introduction to Indonesia from an acceptable way among young Japanese," said Tiarma who also bring as many as 200 of his work for sale on the night.

According to him batik was already well known in Japan, but has not become a fashion choice, but the potential of batik to be a very unusual fashion world. Tokyo, as one part of the world's fashion trend is a place that needs to be chosen as a venue for performances of batik in order to have a resonance which is also worldwide.
